Multi-age Magic

Multi-age Magic!

I hope you all know how much I am absolutely loving this group of parents and children!  I feel so incredibly blessed to get to do what I love!  Just had to tell you that I leave our Wednesdays full of excitement and appreciation!  Thank you!!

We welcomed Gretchen, Devin and Fiona this week!  So happy to have you!

This week as I listened to the children and watched them interact, it made me realize how much like a real family a multi-age preschool group is.  Similar to a family with children of all different ages, there are many opportunities during the day for the older children to nurture and even model for the younger set.  It just creates more "real life" learning opportunities than if the children were all the same age!  I love it!

So grateful for another dry day....we were able to be outside all day!

The playdough table was full as usual!

The treasure digging continued and turned into "mountain building."  Davis made a "Dinosaur Mountain."

Some of us really like to swing....while singing too!

Breakfast orders were being taken in the outdoor kitchen this week!

Snack time!  Love how some children prefer to have their snack in the tower and that they are able to choose!

We had lots to share this week!  Even if we didn't bring sharing...we found something to share!  This moment in the spot light is so special for the children...building that self esteem and confidence!

We took a stroll through the garden and discovered broccoli, kale and lettuce growing.  The church is going to mark our "Children's Garden" area for us soon, so we can start planting too!

Davis helped compost our snack scraps!

All aboard! The train ride ended our day.

NEXT WEEK: Let's make humus!   Children will love making it and hopefully eating it too!  Please bring either crackers or vegetables for dipping! This will be part of our snack.

LET'S GO:  The Chattahoochee Nature Center has a fun Reindeer Day on Sunday December 16th 1-4:00 PM.  See details below!  I think it would fun for our group to go! Let me know if you are interested.
