What we "DO" at NLA

As we head into our 3rd year at NLA we continue to change and grow!  I am often asked what we "DO" at NLA and how it all works.  I just tell people "you just have to visit" and see what our days together look and feel like!  I explain too that the program is influenced by a beautiful mix of several different natural learning philosophies, but more importantly we celebrate each stage of childhood!  I then explain that NLA allows children a gentle first learning environment where they feel respected and where their interests and passions are the curriculum! We recognize that there is no "one size fits all" and no "hurrying" when it comes to learning!

This year we added a nature table and a beautiful morning song to our routine....

and a story time at snack time followed by a nature themed activity (always a "choice" of course in natural NLA style).

Our "invention box" is also another "new" addition to our days! Looking forward to creating together!

And as always we paint,

we explore our sensory table and

we get pretty messy!

We sculpt and create with play dough,

We build and work together,

 we cook and pretend,

The "babies" of last year are now part of the action! So beautiful to watch them grow!

NLA Show and Share is always filled with smiles!

NLA gives children the first learning environment they need to flourish and bloom!

Looking forward to making more memories together at NLA this year!  Grateful for this community and can't wait to see how it grows!
